The "Member Handbook" is a great From Mr. Wells: Freshmen rehearsals will begin on Monday Morning - August 3, at 8:30am at the HS Band Hall. Full Band rehearsals begin August 6th for ALL NHS Band Members! Punctuality IS expected! Band practice will maintain the same schedule through Friday, August 21. You are expected to attend ALL rehearsals. Please let Mr. Wells know BEFORE you must miss ANY rehearsal due to UNAVOIDABLE CONFLICTS. Taking a summer school class is an example of an acceptable conflict. LAST MINUTE, UNPLANNED VACATIONS ARE UNEXCUSED AND ARE DOCUMENTED THAT WAY. YOU ARE EXPECTED TO ARRANGE WORK SCHEDULES, LESSONS, ETC. Uniforms, Music Folders and School Insturments May be picked up or checked out on (Seniors) Monday, July 27; (Juniors) Tuesday, July 28; (Sophomores) Wednesday, July 29; (Freshmen) Thursday, July 30. Each day's schedule will be from 8:30am until 2:30pm. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PICKUP YOUR MUSIC OR CHECK OUT AN INSTRUMENT BEFORE OR DURING A REHEARSAL! You will need your instrument, some marching shoes (Old tennis shoes [no sandals]), and your music at every rehearsal. It will be HOT outside; BE PREAPARED! Initial seating will be based on your chair in last year's concert bands, but there may be early opportunities for challenges.
